Welcome to Qpushly

What web push is, what Qpushly does with it, and what it can't do — read this first.

Qpushly adds web push notifications to your Shopify store. A visitor taps “Allow” once in their browser, and from then on you can send them a notification that appears on their desktop or phone — even when they are not on your site.

No email address. No phone number. Nothing for the shopper to type.

What you can send

Campaigns — a message you write and send yourself, now or on a schedule. A new drop, a sale, a restock announcement.

Automations — messages that fire on their own when something happens in your store. There are five:

AutomationSends when
Welcome notificationssomeone subscribes
Abandoned cart recoverya cart sits untouched for ten minutes
Browse abandonmenta product was viewed but not bought
Back in stocka variant someone looked at is available again
Price dropa product falls below the price a shopper saw

Each automation can send up to three messages in sequence, on delays you set.

What web push is not

Two more limits worth knowing before you plan anything around push:

  • A subscriber is a browser, not a person. If someone subscribes on their laptop and again on their phone, that is two subscribers. If they clear their browser data, the subscription is gone and they will need to opt in again.
  • You cannot email a push subscriber. Qpushly only knows the address their browser gave it. Email addresses appear in your subscriber list only where your own Shopify order data supplies one.

Where it runs

Qpushly is an embedded Shopify app — it lives inside your Shopify admin, in the sidebar with everything else. There is no separate dashboard to log into and no separate account to manage.

The storefront half of it is a theme app embed, which you switch on from the theme editor. That step is not optional, and it is where most setups stall — so it has its own page.

Which browsers can receive notifications

PlatformSupport
Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera — desktopYes
Chrome, Firefox, Samsung Internet — AndroidYes

Safari — iPhone / iPadOnly if the shopper adds your store to their home screen

Where to go next

  1. Install Qpushly — from the App Store.
  2. Turn on the theme app embed — the step that actually makes it work.
  3. Quickstart — first subscriber and first send, in about ten minutes.
