Reading the dashboard

What each of the four metric tiles counts, what the growth chart shows, and what none of it can tell you.

The Dashboard is the first screen in Qpushly. It has four metric tiles, a subscriber-growth chart, and a card for your most recent campaign.

The four tiles

Revenue generated — the total value of orders Qpushly could attribute to a notification. See Campaign results for exactly how an order gets attributed; the short version is that a notification click tags the cart, and the order carries the tag.

Subscribers — how many push subscriptions your store holds. Remember this counts browsers, so one shopper on a laptop and a phone is two.

Total campaigns sent — campaigns that have been published, not automations.

Impressions consumed — how many notifications were delivered.

The growth chart

Subscriber gain plots new subscribers per day. The dropdown switches between 7, 15, 30 and 60 days.

What to look for:

  • A flat line at zero after you enabled the embed usually means the embed is not on your live theme, or the prompt is not being reached. Go back to Turn on the theme app embed.
  • A step change normally traces to a traffic source or to adding a data-qpushly-subscribe button somewhere new.
  • A steady drift down in daily additions with steady traffic is normal — the visitors most willing to subscribe do so first.

Latest campaign

Shows the most recent campaign with its own counters, so you can check on a send without going to the Campaigns list.

What the dashboard cannot tell you

Being straight about the gaps saves you drawing the wrong conclusion:

  • No unsubscribe count. When a shopper blocks notifications in their browser, the browser does not tell your store. The subscription simply stops being deliverable. So subscriber count can overstate your reachable audience.
  • No per-day revenue breakdown. Revenue is a running total for the range, not a series you can plot against sends.
  • Impressions are not deduplicated per shopper. Two devices belonging to the same person are two impressions.
  • Automations are not broken out here. For per-automation clicks, impressions, revenue and conversion rate, go to Automations — the list shows all five with their own numbers.

The free-plan banner

If your store is on the free plan a banner sits at the top of the Dashboard with a link to Shopify’s plan page. See Plan and billing.
